What to expect

Detailed preparation.
A considered result.

01

Compatibility comes first

The stone, existing finish and condition are evaluated before installation is recommended. Restoration may be required when staining, etching or damage is already present.

02

Every detail is measured

Edges, seams, sinks, cooktops, waterfall profiles and overhangs all influence the installation plan and finished appearance.

03

The work area is prepared

The surface should be cleared and accessible. Preparation and fitting time vary with the size, condition and complexity of the project.

04

Aftercare is straightforward

We provide cleaning guidance for the selected finish. Mild or pH-neutral cleaners, cutting boards and trivets remain recommended.

Installation FAQs

Useful details before scheduling.

Can Surface ProGuard cover existing stains or etching?

The film does not restore damaged stone. Existing staining, etching, scratches, chips or repairs are evaluated first, and professional restoration may be recommended before installation.

How are seams, sinks and waterfall edges handled?

Every project is measured around its actual geometry. Seams, cut-outs, fixtures, profiles and transitions are reviewed so the fitting plan reflects the construction of the surface.

How long does installation take?

Timing depends on the total area, number of sections, edge details, cut-outs and existing condition. We provide a project-specific expectation after reviewing the scope.

Can the film be removed or replaced?

Surface ProGuard is a replaceable barrier. Removal or renewal should be completed professionally to protect the underlying material and surrounding finishes.

What warranty coverage is available?

Eligible projects may include manufacturer coverage of up to 10 years, while workmanship support is confirmed in the written proposal. Coverage varies by product, application and project conditions.

How should the installed finish be cleaned?

Use a soft microfibre cloth with warm water, mild dish soap or a pH-neutral stone-safe cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh chemicals and cutting directly on the film.
